Ranni woman dies of rabies months after pet dog bite

An 86-year-old woman, Elikkutty Ittiyavira, died of rabies in Pathanamthitta three months after her pet dog bit her. She had not taken the anti-rabies vaccine after the incident. Her family rushed her to Kottayam Medical College Hospital when her condition worsened, but doctors reportedly could not save her.
