Ranveer Singh to play Shaktimaan in Basil Joseph's trilogy film

Actor Ranveer Singh is confirmed to star as Shaktimaan, India's renowned superhero, in a trilogy film. The role was originally played by Mukesh Khanna in a TV series that ran from 1997-2005. The film, directed by Minnal Murali fame Basil Joseph and produced by Sony Pictures and Nadiadwala Grandson, is scheduled to start filming in the later half of 2025.
