Rare 14th-century Siditale hero stone discovered at Barakuru

A historically significant Siditale hero stone has been discovered at Barakuru during an epigraphical survey of the Panchalingeshwara Temple. The survey was conducted by the Veera Rani Chikkayi Tayi Trust, Gulladi, and Adima Kala Trust, Udupi, amid renovation work at the temple. Barakuru was an important capital under the medieval Alupas and the Vijayanagar Empire.
