Rare bacteria found in wastewater released by Meta's US data centre

Meta's AI data centres are being investigated in US' Wyoming after a rare bacteria, cupriavidus gilardii, was found in the wastewater released from one of the centres. Wyoming's authorities have suspended wastewater disposal for all data centres connected to the city's water system. The bacteria rarely infects humans but is linked to several severe illnesses and is resistant to antibiotics.
