Rare bird 'great eared nightjar' spotted in Assam; IFS officer shares video

IFS officer Piraisoodan B shared a video of 'great eared nightjar' that was spotted last week in Kakopathar in Assam. "A very rare sighting in Assam. Kudos to Villagers for rescuing the bird and promptly informing Assam Forest Department," the officer tweeted. It is a species of nightjar in the family of Caprimulgidae.
