Rare dolphin with 'thumbs' discovered in Greece, pic surfaces

Researchers spotted a rare dolphin off the coast of Greece which developed 'thumbs' carved out of its flippers. "It was the very first time we saw this surprising flipper morphology in 30 years of surveys in open sea," a researcher said. It's most likely expression of "some rare and irregular genes" that emerged as result of constant interbreeding, he added.
