Rare Greater Painted-Snipe bird spotted with two chicks at Jim Corbett

A rare Greater Painted Snipe was spotted with its two chicks in Uttarakhand's Corbett Tiger Reserve. A wildlife photographer, who documented the sighting of the bird, said it provides the first scientific evidence that the bird has successfully bred in the Corbett landscape. Forest officials said the sighting is a positive sign for the reserve's biodiversity.
