Rare Himalayan flower blooms again in Arunachal after 158 years

A rare purple-flowered plant, Cyananthus hookeri, was spotted for the first time after 158 years in Arunachal Pradesh's Chuna Valley. The plant bloomed at an altitude of around 3,600 metres, where most plant species struggle to survive. The flower was last recorded in Sikkim in 1867. This is the first confirmed record of the species in Arunachal Pradesh.
