Rare kaon decay could lead to evidence of new physics model

A CERN experiment demonstrates a new technique which captures and measures the ultra-rare decay of a subatomic particle called a kaon. The results of the experiment show that a precise measurement of the decay process could point towards a new physics model beyond the Standard Model. The Standard Model fails to explain topics like dark matter and the matter-antimatter imbalance.
