Rare Neelakurinji flowers bloom after 12 years in Kerala's Munnar

Rare Neelakurinji flowers have bloomed in large numbers after a wait of nearly 12 years in Kerala's Munnar. The flowers last witnessed a mass bloom in the same region in 2014, while the current bloom began in late August. The Neelakurinji flower, scientifically known as the Strobilanthes kunthiana, is known for flowering in large groups after about 12 years.
