Rare parasitic wasp genus found in Assam’s lowlands

Scientists from the Zoological Survey of India discovered a new parasitic wasp, Oxyserphus narendrani, in Assam's Dibru-Saikhowa National Park. Captured using a simple yellow pan trap, this 3.3-millimeter insect marks the first time this rare genus has ever been officially identified in the entire Oriental region.
