Rare sea turtle rescued 8,000 km from home returns to Texas

A sea turtle named Rhossi, found nearly dead in the freezing waters near Wales in 2023, has been flown 8,000 km to Texas to continue his recovery. Rhossi is a Kemp's ridley, one of the most endangered sea turtle species, native to the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The turtle is regaining his strength at the Houston Zoo.
