Rare tufted duck raises 2 chicks for the 1st time at Russian park

A rare tufted duck has hatched and raised two chicks for the first time at the Bolshoy Golitsynsky Pond in Moscow's Gorky Park in Russia. "The pond's open waters and proximity to gulls and ruddy shelducks increase the risks to the brood. This year, two of the chicks managed to reach adulthood," biologist Anna Gerasimova said.
