Archaeologists have discovered a rare Vijayanagara-era hero temple in Pulasani Oddu village, Karnataka. The shrine features hunting-themed hero stones, tiger hunt carvings, ancient inscriptions and classic Vijayanagara architecture. Historians believe the memorials honour local rulers or warriors linked to the empire, while local folklore credits a woman named Pulasani with building the temple.
