Rashmika Mandanna to play MS Subbulakshmi in biopic

Rashmika Mandanna will portray Bharat Ratna-winning Carnatic legend MS Subbulakshmi in her biopic. Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri with music by Anirudh Ravichander, the film is backed by Geetha Arts. The title and first look will be unveiled on September 16 — Subbulakshmi's 110th birth anniversary — with Kamal Haasan as chief guest.
