Ratan Tata-backed Upstox raises $25 million from Tiger Global

Mumbai-based online stockbroking platform Upstox has raised $25 million in its second round of institutional funding from American hedge fund Tiger Global Management. Backed by Kalaari Capital and Chairman Emeritus of Tata Sons Ratan Tata, Upstox had raised around $4 million in last institutional round in 2016. It was founded by Ravi Kumar and Shrini Viswanath.
