Rayagada, Indian Railways' newest division launches today

The new Rayagada Railway Division under East Coast Railway became operational on June 1, serving six districts and 68 railway stations across southern Odisha. Created through the reorganisation of the former Waltair Division, the new division will oversee railway projects worth more than ₹20,000 crore, strengthen freight operations, improve passenger connectivity, and support economic growth.
