RBI announces upward revision in real GDP growth estimates for FY27

RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra announced an upward revision in India's real GDP growth projections for the first half of FY27. Projection for Q1 has been revised to 6.9%, up from 6.7% projected in December 2025, and for Q2, it has been revised from 6.8% to 7%. The full-year growth forecast for 2025-26 was also raised to 7.4% from 7.3%.
