RBI blocked over 61 million cyberattacks in just 1 quarter in 2026

RBI blocked over 61 million cyberattack attempts on its website between October and December 2025. The attempts were blocked by using the bank's firewall and security engines, said RBI's Executive Director P Vasudevan. The number of cyberattack attempts on the bank's website from April to June 2025 was 19 million, which rose to 31 million in the July-September quarter.
