RBI forms 10-member task force on Public Credit Registry

The RBI has announced a 10-member task force to review and determine the scope of a Public Credit Registry (PCR). The task force will be chaired by YM Deosthalee, ex-CMD of L&T Finance Holdings. It will be responsible for reviewing the current availability of credit information in India, study international practices and assess gaps that could be filled by PCR.
