RBI keeps repo rate unchanged at 6.50% for 10th time in a row

RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das announced on Wednesday that the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) has decided to keep repo rate unchanged at 6.50% for the tenth time in a row. This was MPC's first meeting after Federal Reserve cut interest rates in the US by 50 basis points. The repo rate is the rate at which RBI lends money to banks.
