The Reserve Bank of India's Governor Shaktikanta Das on Thursday announced the monetary policy committee's decision to keep the repo rate unchanged at 6.50%. In its previous policy in April too, the RBI had kept the policy repo rate unchanged at 6.50%. The repo rate is the rate at which RBI lends money to banks.
