RBI lowers India's FY27 GDP growth projection from 6.9% to 6.6%

Reserve Bank of India has lowered its GDP growth forecast for FY27 to 6.6% from the earlier estimate of 6.9%, Governor Sanjay Malhotra announced after the latest monetary policy review. The revision reflects a more cautious outlook for the economy. The Centre is set to release GDP data for the fourth quarter and full FY26 on June 5.
