RBI is planning to make it easier for people to switch banks or bank accounts by exploring a Payments Switching Service (PaSS). The new centralised service will list all incoming and outgoing payment mandates, including salary, credit card, and bill payments. PaSS will allow customers to switch the bank accounts to which all or some of the mandates are linked.
