RBI raises real GDP growth estimate to 7.1% for FY27, inflation projected at 4.4%

RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra said India's real GDP growth for FY27 is projected at 7.1%, a rise from 6.7% projected earlier. Core inflation is projected at 4.4% for FY27, earlier estimated to be at 4.3%. He added that the consumer price index (CPI) inflation is seen averaging 5.8% for the current quarter as well as the next three quarters.
