RBI rejects ₹23,000 crore treasury bill bids amid yield concerns
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) rejected all bids at Wednesday's treasury bill auction, signalling possible concern over rising short-term yields. The government had planned to raise ₹23,000 crore through 91-day, 182-day and 364-day treasury bills. Traders said the yields demanded by bidders may have exceeded the RBI's expectations, prompting it to reject the offers.
