RBI should not cut interest rates this week: Axis Bank's Neelkanth

Axis Bank's Chief Economist Neelkanth Mishra said RBI shouldn't cut interest rates this week as inflation remains sticky. RBI's monetary policy committee (MPC) meeting is set to take place this week, where the central bank is expected to cut rates by 25 basis points. In December, RBI kept the repo rate unchanged at 6.50% for the 11th consecutive time.
