RBI to include bank deposits in Consolidated Account Statement

RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra announced plans to expand the Consolidated Account Statement (CAS) to include bank deposit accounts alongside securities like equities and bonds. Currently, investors receive separate statements for each. The change only consolidates information — deposits remain with banks and will not be transferred to any depository.
