RBI turns net buyer of US dollar in April, purchases $4.2 billion

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) turned net buyer of the US dollar in April after it purchased $4.2 billion from the spot market on a net basis. The RBI bought $8.18 billion from the spot market and sold $3.97 billion, according to its monthly bulletin. In 2020-21, the RBI had net purchased $68.3 billion from the spot market.
