On standby to resume fighting Iran if diplomacy fails: US military

General Dan Caine, Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman, said that he hopes "Iran chooses lasting peace", but added that troops are ready to resume fighting if diplomacy fails. He added that the military is in standby "with same speed and precision as we've demonstrated over last 38 days." Notably, Iran has threatened to reject the ceasefire after Israel attacked Lebanon.
