Real development of northeast began after Modi became PM: Amit Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah claimed that the real development of northeast region of India began only after Modi took over the office of Prime Minister in 2014. "In the 75 years of independence, before Narendra Modi became PM, the northeast was considered only a tourist destination...The government has decided to set up around 65,000 active [agricultural societies]," said Shah.
