Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) becomes functional in West Bengal

West Bengal Real Estate Regulatory Authority (WBRERA) has become functional in the state, nearly 18 months after the Supreme Court declared the West Bengal Housing Industry Regulation Act (WBHIRA) as "unconstitutional". Accordingly, consumers can now file complaints against builders and agents offline. Its website will be operational in the next 15 days, WBRERA Chairman Sandipan Mukherjee said.
