Rebel TMC leaders remove Mamata Banerjee as party's chief, say 'We are TMC'

Former West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress founder Mamata Banerjee was removed as party chief by Ritabrata Banerjee-led rebels in a meeting on Monday. "Arup Roy has been made the chairman of the party...There is no old and new Trinamool Congress. We are Trinamool Congress," a senior MLA said. A ten-member national working committee was also reportedly formed.
