Recep Tayyip Erdoğan re-elected Turkish President

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was on Sunday re-elected as the Turkish President, extending his 15-year grip on power. With 99% of votes counted, Erdoğan had won a 52.54% share of the national vote, however, the opposition party did not immediately concede defeat. "Starting tomorrow, we will start working to realise the promises we made our people," Erdoğan told his supporters.
