Reckless, no plea was filed: CJI on reports that he denied urgent hearing on CJP protest

CJI Surya Kant on Friday clarified that no petition was filed against police action on CJP protesters and that the lawyer had only made a representation. This comes after media reports claimed that he denied an urgent hearing on the matter. "How can I treat the representation as a writ petition? People started recklessly reporting this," the CJI added.
