Record 22 Punjabis win in Canada’s federal elections
A record 22 Punjabis have been elected to Canada’s House of Commons in the federal elections held on Monday, up from 18 in 2021 and 20 in 2019. Of them, 18 are from the Liberal Party, which emerged as the leading party but fell short of a majority. Meanwhile, NDP chief Jagmeet Singh lost and resigned as party president.
