Record number of Americans sought UK citizenship after Trump's win

A record number of Americans applied for British citizenship between January and March, coinciding with the start of US President Donald Trump's second term after his victory in presidential elections, according to data by UK Home Office. As many as 1,931 Americans submitted applications for UK citizenship, which is the highest quarterly figure since records began in 2004, report stated.
