Reduce age of consent to 16 from 18: MP High Court to Centre

Madhya Pradesh High Court has urged the central government to consider reducing the age of consent for physical relation from 18 to 16. "Generally, girls and boys of adolescence...due to attraction make physical relationships. But, due to this rider, boy is treated like a criminal in the society," the court observed, adding that "injustice is going on with adolescent boys".
