Registration without rituals cannot make Hindu marriage valid: Gujarat HC

Gujarat High Court ruled that registering a Hindu marriage alone doesn't make it legally valid if customary rites and ceremonies aren't performed. The court said these ceremonies hold spiritual importance. The court set aside an order in a case involving a UK-based man who denied getting married and said registration only proves a marriage that was legally performed.
