Regret saying goodbye: Indian-origin CEO as 86 laid off at Synapse
San Francisco-based Synapse laid off 86 people (nearly 40% of its employees) in its second round of workforce reductions this year. The fintech startup's Indian-origin CEO and Co-founder Sankaet Pathak said, "We deeply regret saying goodbye to incredibly talented and dedicated members." Earlier, it was announced that one of Synapse's biggest customers, Mercury, wouldn't be renewing its contract.
