The release of Fukushima nuclear plant's contaminated water into the sea can damage human DNA, according to a Greenpeace report. The group said the 1.23 million tonnes of treated water contains "dangerous" levels of radioactive isotope carbon-14. While it was earlier reported that Japan had decided to release the water, reports later said the government has put off the move.
