Reliance Industries plans to issue bonus shares, stock jumps 1.6%

Shares of Reliance Industries jumped 1.6% on Thursday after the company announced it plans to issue bonus shares in a 1:1 ratio. The shares reached an intraday high of ₹3,074.8 before ending at ₹3,044.75. A meeting of the company's board will be held on September 5 to consider the issue of bonus shares, an exchange filing said.
