Reliance proposes ₹2 lakh-crore nuclear plant in West Bengal

Body: Reliance Industries has proposed a nuclear power project in West Bengal that could attract around ₹2 lakh crore in investment over six to seven years, according to state government sources. The company prefers Haripur in East Midnapore, while the state has suggested Nayachar near Haldia as an alternative. Reliance is also exploring data centres and coal gasification.
