Reliance’s KG-D6 decline tests India’s gas ambitions

Reliance Industries’ KG-D6 gas block is seeing output decline again after a second production ramp-up with BP, The Core reported. Production fell to 25.2 MMSCMD by March 2026 from a recent peak of 30 MMSCMD. Experts said better policy and pricing help, but India’s gas security cannot depend on one domestic block.
