Reliance sabotaging access to Telegram for millions outside India via BGP hijacking: Telegram CEO

Telegram founder and CEO Pavel Durov has accused Reliance of deliberately sabotaging the app's access for millions of users outside India via "BGP hijacking". Durov alleged it may be a competitive war, claiming Reliance is "partially owned" by WhatsApp parent Meta. He said he wouldn't be surprised if Reliance/WhatsApp were also behind recent "lobbying effort" to ban Telegram in India.
