Reliance' suggestion to Govt: Shut down 2G, 3G network

Reliance Jio has requested government's intervention for expediting nationwide shutdown of obsolete 2G and 3G telecom networks to lower costs while driving users towards 4G and 5G services. But Vodafone Idea advocates 2G continuity given affordability barriers and device ecosystem issues hindering next-gen mobile data adoption among low-income citizens presently.
