Removal of CBI chief at 2 am illegal, insult to India: Rahul

Attacking the Centre over removal of CBI Director Alok Verma, Congress President Rahul Gandhi said, sending Verma on leave at 2 am was "illegal and criminal". Stating that appointment and removal of CBI Director is done by "a committee of three people - PM, CJI and Leader of Opposition", Rahul said it was an "insult to people of India".
