Remove 50% reservation cap, hold nationwide caste census: Nitish

Bihar CM Nitish Kumar demanded that the cap of 50% on reservations be removed and a nationwide caste census be conducted in India. "The cap is depriving OBCs and EBCs (economically backward class) of opportunities in proportion to their population," said Kumar. He also welcomed the Supreme Court's decision to uphold the 10% reservation for the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).
