Report claims US' $21 mn fund was for B'desh not India; Congress says BJP promoted lies

The USAID's $21 million 'voter turnout' fund was meant for Bangladesh and not India, IE reported. It claimed the grant was channelled through Consortium for Elections and Political Process Strengthening (CEPPS), adding that there has been no USAID-funded CEPPS project in India since 2008. Citing the report, Congress' Jairam Ramesh said BJP amplified lies. "Will the liars apologise," he asked.
