Republicans are increasingly blaming US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth for party's poor performance in midterm elections, accusing him of persuading President Trump to launch the Iran war without a clear exit strategy. The House, now controlled by Democrats, could vote as early as next week on whether to impeach him, reports said. Trump admitted Iran war cost him the elections.
